I am an American citizen with a Neteller account (and pending EFT withdrawals). Let's forget for a moment about the pending withdrawals.
My wife is a citizen of a European country and still has all her family there. She is also co-owner/signer of some things (like bank accounts, the house) for her parents.
If I simply want to use Neteller as my money transfer option, could/should I simply setup a new bank account and Neteller account in that country? Under my name? Her name?
Has anyone done something like this? What are the hoops?
She could easily setup a new bank account in her name (I would think as husband that she could request that I be a co-owner of the account, even if I don't have residency papers.) We wouldn't want to use her parents' accounts - wouldn't want them finding out - LMAO.
But then would all the accounts have to be in her name (Neteller and sportsbooks), or could I change my current account addresses with Neteller? Is Neteller OK with this (or are they being difficult)?
I could just transfer funds back and forth between my European bank account and U.S. bank account.
I (maybe obvioulsy?) haven't thought this all through, but I'm trying to learn about what others may have already done along these lines.
And just for the heck of it, has anyone tried Switzerland? Aren't they extremely open to foreign bank accounts (e.g. not even needing residency)? Or does Neteller have a problem with that as well?
Perhaps silly questions, but...
