So it is best to start new Neteller/sportsbook accounts instead of changing address?

I am an American citizen with a Neteller account (and pending EFT withdrawals). Let's forget for a moment about the pending withdrawals.

My wife is a citizen of a European country and still has all her family there. She is also co-owner/signer of some things (like bank accounts, the house) for her parents.

If I simply want to use Neteller as my money transfer option, could/should I simply setup a new bank account and Neteller account in that country? Under my name? Her name?

Has anyone done something like this? What are the hoops?

She could easily setup a new bank account in her name (I would think as husband that she could request that I be a co-owner of the account, even if I don't have residency papers.) We wouldn't want to use her parents' accounts - wouldn't want them finding out - LMAO.

But then would all the accounts have to be in her name (Neteller and sportsbooks), or could I change my current account addresses with Neteller? Is Neteller OK with this (or are they being difficult)?

I could just transfer funds back and forth between my European bank account and U.S. bank account.

I (maybe obvioulsy?) haven't thought this all through, but I'm trying to learn about what others may have already done along these lines.

And just for the heck of it, has anyone tried Switzerland? Aren't they extremely open to foreign bank accounts (e.g. not even needing residency)? Or does Neteller have a problem with that as well?

Perhaps silly questions, but...

two things

you would have to be EXTREMELY careful with the IP you show to neteller etc, they monitor it extensively and the minute they see that you are not in the country you are 'suposely' based of...........all sort of alarms will go off

second, many banks in Switzerland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Gibraltar etc dislike dealing with Americans, apparently opening accounts for Americans sets in motion a bunch of compliance procedures that they must fulfill

Just set up a new neteller account and new sportsbook accounts all in wifey's name. Make sure when you log into neteller that your IP address is based in the country she registers from.

I am Canadian,My ISP is basically based in NYC,however has brunch for Canadians in Ontario.I found my account locked due to having ip shown origin coming form USA.
After further conversation with security department ,showing them my Canadian bank certificate ,home address and verifiying my land line, they allowed me to access my account again without the need to change internet provider for this matter.

If anyone of you guys consider using foriegn addresses and bank accounts
it will work providing you can come with ip address from that country as well.

There are some annonymous surfing providers online which let you use their own servers which based in various countries around the world for a monthly subscrioption fee and would mask your real origin.

That would be your only way to solve the ip issue, however these providers might change their servers destinations form time to time and that might put you at risk later on being in USA.

Damn Bush and his bullshit.

Very interesting (and excellent) point about the IP address. Another variable in the equation that can't be overlooked.

Thanks to all who gave input so far. I've got between now and football season (which is all I really care about) to put something in place.
